From Head Courier to Operations + Leadership Coach

Most consultants pick a lane early and stay in it.

I didn't.

I started as a Head Courier in London. Worked my way through logistics operations at Net-a-Porter, Cult Beauty, and Farfetch. Got my Six Sigma Black Belt. Built compliance departments. Learned dangerous goods regulations. Specialised in fine jewellery hallmarking. Became a CITES expert for exotic skins. Built logistics teams from scratch.

Then I became a leadership coach.

My LinkedIn headline is a paragraph. My career path looks chaotic on paper.

But here's what 20+ years of all that chaos taught me:

Operational problems are never just operational.

A "shipping delay" isn't about carriers. It's about a team that doesn't know how to escalate issues.

"We need better systems" isn't about software. It's about leaders who won't let go of control.

"Our 3PL isn't working" isn't about logistics providers. It's about unclear requirements and undefined accountability.

Fix the technical problem, and you're back in crisis next month.

Build the capability, and the problem stops recurring.

That's the difference between consulting and transformation.

The Peaceful Revolution

I call my approach The Peaceful Revolution.

Not because it's gentle (though it can be). Because it's about building operations that don't need revolution every time something breaks.

  • Build systems that work
        without you.

  • Build teams that own their
        capability.

  • Build processes people
actually follow because they understand why they exist.

  • Make yourself obsolete.
That's how you know it worked.

A well-built house doesn't need the builder to hold it up.

I build operations the same way. Foundations that last. Capability that grows. Teams that don't need me to function.

When a client says "we don't need you anymore," that's success.

What I Actually Do

  1. Operations Consulting: Dangerous goods, fine jewellery, exotic skins (CITES), cross-border trade, customs and compliance, 3PL selection and management, systems and process design, product compliance.
Leadership Coaching: Building autonomous teams, letting go of control, delegation that develops capability, making yourself obsolete (the good kind)
Strategic Partnerships: Fractional operations support, recruitment for ops roles, sustainability and packaging consulting
The Operational House Assessment: Free diagnostic to identify which of your 6 operational foundations are solid and which are crumbling (Compliance, Process, Systems, People, Data, Strategy)
